Air incidents

Suffolk Resilience Forum has an Aviation Incident plan which details how the multi-agency partners will respond to an air incident.

 

Rail incidents

In case of a rail incident in Suffolk the multi-agency partners will respond using the arrangements in the Generic Emergency Reponse plan.  The Train Operating Companies also have plans to provide humanitarian assistance support to survivors of rail related incidents.

 

Major road incidents

In case of a major road incident in Suffolk the multi-agency partners will respond using the arrangements in the Generic Emergency Reponse plan

Traffic updates are avilable on Suffolk Constabulary's Traffic Updates webpage, current road works and diversions can be found on Suffolk County Council's website - Roadworks in Suffolk or on Highways Englands Traffic Information website for the strategic road network in Suffolk (A14 and parts of the A12 and A11)

 

Orwell Bridge closures due to high winds

For public safety reasons the Orwell Bridge is closed for high winds, notifications of closures due to high winds are reported on local radio and in the media. through Highways England and Suffolk Constabulary tweeets.
